A pair of Baccarat pink and withe opaline glass vases

Each of flared trumpet form, painted with birds among yellow flowers and daisies. The base of the pedestals are enriched, gilding, red-purple color with a punch-shaped circle decorations and radiating lines. One of the two vases is dated "26 APRIL (18) 75"

About the artist

Baccarat crystal glassworks company (founded in 1764, still in business), french crystal glassworks.
In 1824, during the World Fair held in the Louvre Museum, Baccarat displays somptuous crystal ceiling lights and do it again for the World Fairs that ended the 19th century and opened the 20th. For 200 years, Baccarat has been illuminating national palaces, crown residences, presidential houses, private mansions of the whole world, thaters, cathedrals of France and Latin America.
